The usual route
I-40 or Business 40 west into Winston-Salem, then drop down to Walnut Street SW. It is not downtown High Point and it is not a booth at a market.
High Point service area · not a second store
If you are in High Point with gold, silver, or a coin collection to sell, you come to us. We do not have a High Point storefront. The shop is 605 Walnut St SW in Winston-Salem. The drive is about 25 to 30 minutes.
Weekdays 10–4 work better than Saturday. Saturday we are only open 12–3pm.
How people actually get there
I-40 or Business 40 west into Winston-Salem, then drop down to Walnut Street SW. It is not downtown High Point and it is not a booth at a market.
Bring gold, sterling, coins, and high-end watches. Coins can stay in the albums. Do not clean silver with harsh polish before you arrive.
Furniture-market weeks clog surface streets in High Point, not Walnut Street. Still, leave a little extra if you are aiming at the 4pm weekday close.
Fair, not theatrical
High Point has pawn counters and jewelers. Apex is a gold, silver, and coin shop. We buy scrap gold at 75%. Gold coins pay much higher than scrap. Silver is weighed and sorted. We also buy high-end watches such as Rolex, Omega, and Breitling.
Jeff owns the shop. Tania runs the day-to-day, which means she is the person who answers when you call from North Main or the east side and ask whether it is worth coming over. If it is a family coin lot, come in.
No appointment is required during hours. If you have a large lot, calling first helps us not be three people deep at the glass when you walk in.
Sell scrap gold, gold coins, silver, and high-end watches without pretending High Point has an Apex location. Drive to Winston-Salem, or call and decide from the kitchen table.
